Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil, is composed of 90% saturated triglycerides that may function as a skin-conditioning agent. It has been traditionally used as moisturizer. A study on the skin protective properties of virgin coconut oil was conducted by Varma, S.R. et al. (2018). Clinical studies have revealed that virgin coconut oil improves the appearance of the skin by moisturizing the skin. Charcoal extract is reported to function as a skin-conditioning agent. According to 2023 VCRP survey data, Activated charcoal is reported to be used in 53 formulations, also with the majority of uses in rinse-off formulations, such as skin cleansing preparation. The powder form is also a common ingredient in skin care products like in paste masks (mud packs) for its adsorbent property that helps remove excess dirt from the skin.
